AZERI PRESIDENT CONFIRMS INTERESTS
IN ODESSA-BRODY OIL PIPELINE

Azeri President Ilham Aliyev confirmed his
country's interests in oil transportation
via the Odessa-Brody pipeline. The statement
was made in a news conference in Strasbourg
on Thursday.
"Today we have 2 oil pipelines, which
could transport 100 million r\tons of oil a year, however,
we hold a policy of diversifying the routes,"
he noted.
Aliyev noted that now Azerbaijan studies
the opportunities for use of the Odessa-Brody
oil pipeline to export crude to Europe.
"I wish much successes to the route,"
the President underlined.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine authorized
Vice Premier Klyuyev on March 31 to sign an agreement
with Azerbaijan on oil delivery and transportation.
