RUSSIAN SIDE TO RECONSIDER AZERI
OIL PUMPING TRANSITS

The Russian side is ready to reconsider tariffs
for Azeri oil pumping via the Baku-Novorossiysk
and the consultations in this direction are
underway, Victor Khristienko, Russian Minister of
Energy and Industry, told journalists in Baku.
According to Khristienko, the Russian side is ready
to do much for the terms of the bilateral agreement.
The changes, including the stance on tariffs should
not violate the commitments on observing
the schedule, delivery volumes.
Khristienko said 2.5-2.7 million tons of oil via the
Baku-Novorossiysk in 2004. "However,
the consultations will last as long as we find resolution
suiting the two sides," he added.
