PROGRAM ON RUSSIAN-AZERBAIJANI CO-OP IN ECONOMIC FIELD TO BE CONSIDERED IN BAKU

"Parameters of the program on Russian-Azerbaijani economic cooperation till 2010 will be considered in a first meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani economic forum to be held in Baku on April 6-7," Intigam Huseynov, chairman of the Azerbaijani-Russian Chamber of Business Cooperation, said on Friday.

According to Huseynov, the discussions on the program drafted by the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation will be held in the second day of the forum. Huseynov did not rule out opportunities for signing of relevant agreements in the end of discussions.

There existed an idea on arranging a forum, while it entered the final stage during President Ilham Aliyev's official visit Russian in February. The issue was under consideration during the talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Azerbaijani businessmen of Russia will comprise the majority of participants ion the Baku forum.

Natig Agamirov, Vice President of the Azerbaijani Congress of Russia, said the forum held with organization support of the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental commission was dedicated to its Baku meeting scheduled for April 6-7. Most participants of the forum will represent small and medium entrepreneurship.

IMF: Azerbaijan's Poverty Reduction Progress
