USAID TO ASSIST AZERBAIJANI BANKS
IN APPLICATION OF INT'L STANDARDS

"The US Agency for International
Development (USAID) will render assistance
to the Azerbaijani banks in application
of international standards of financial
accountability," Rufat Aslanli, head
of the Department for Control over Credit Organization
of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA).
Seven Azerbaijani banks have joined
to the project. The US experts will assist the local
banks in drafting a strategic accountancy
and compiling financial accountability.
Aslanli stressed necessity for such projects
due to insufficiency in specialists in the sphere
of international accountancy
system in Azerbaijan.
