BP SAYS 95 PER CENT OF MAJOR OIL PIPELINE'S
AZERI SECTION COMPLETED-AGENCY

[No dateline as received] The construction of the Azerbaijani
sector of
the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan [oil] pipeline will be completed by
the end of
2004, the press service of BP has told Azartac news agency.
At present, 95 per cent of work on the 443-kilometre-long
section has
been completed. Oil will be transported via the pipeline to
[Turkey's]
Ceyhan port in the second half of 2005.
Of 2.9bn dollars envisaged for the construction of the pipeline,
81 per
cent have been spent.
